Cold Heading Stainless Steel Wire with Soap Coating for Stable Feeding Product Introduction The surface film on a cold heading wire does two jobs at the same time: it separates the wire from the cut-off tool, and it lets the feed rolls grip without slip. Both jobs are set by the coating system, not by the steel grade alone. Our cold heading wire uses a borax carrier with a stearate soap film on top. Coating weight is stated in grams per square metre and checked by gravimetric
