AISI 430 Stainless Scourer Wire for Fine Forming, 0.15-12 mm Scourer wire is bought on diameter consistency rather than on a headline property. A needle on a scourer knitting machine accepts a narrow band, and a spool that drifts forces the operator to reset tension mid-run. AISI 430, a ferritic grade with 16-18% Cr and no nickel, is the standard choice for this application. The wire is supplied annealed and soft at 450-650 N/mm2, bright or soap-coated, from 0.15 mm to 12 mm.
